The invention relates to an easy-to-handle stacking basket (1) of the type that is used in self-service shops and/or supermarkets, which can be adapted to different users and which guarantees the necessary standard of hygiene when being stacked. The inventive basket essentially comprises: a standard pivoting handle; a telescopic handle (5); a pair of wheels (11); two vertical L-shaped dividers (15) which define small housings together with the side walls of the basket (1) such that, when the baskets are stacked on top of one another, the wheels (11) of the upper basket are disposed in the vertical projection of said housings; and at least two through-holes (16) which are located on the lower corners of the basket.
